Due to our current limited resources, the office is only open for pre-arranged business appointments and sadly we are NOT open to casual visitors, nor can we currently take telephone enquiries. All our efforts are currently focused on the development of the website.

Directions:
(NB: relying on Sat Nav alone is not always reliable as the postcode covers a very wide rural area, & we are halfway between Carmarthen and Blaenycoed village. The charity’s office in a former farmhouse, Foel Fawr, where we are based, is near Carmarthen Golf Club, [3 miles North of Carmarthen] and has its own parking at the rear of our building.)
From the east [or west on the A40], take M4 then A48 to the Carmarthen Bypass & follow the A40 signage towards Llandeilo until a roundabout where you turn west onto A485 signposted to Glan Gwili Hospital and the Gwili steam railway.
At the next roundabout take the first exit west to the hospital / steam railway. As soon as you have passed the hospital, at the next roundabout, take the last exit northwards onto Bronwydd Road, [the A484], and follow the brown tourist signs signs to the Gwili Railway.
Continue on this road for nearly 2 miles to the very start of Bronwydd village, when you go past the right-hand turning for the Gwili Railway, then in just 120 yards, take the first turning on the left, in between rows of bungalows. It has no signpost, just dotted give-way signs.
Follow this road for under 2 miles and turn right when you get to the T junction. Head towards the Golf Club but in 180 yards take the first turning on the right, it’s marked as a dead end. Follow the road, going left at its sharp bend, until you get to Foel Fawr which is the first house you come to.
Alternatively, if you are coming from the centre of Carmarthen, follow the brown tourist signs for the Golf Club, from Waters Road, which then becomes Blaenycoed Road, and again head towards the Golf Club but in 180 yards before it take the first turning on the right, it’s marked as a dead end. This turning is 180 yards North, and just past a signposted road to Bronwydd, which is referred to above.
Alternatively, if you are coming from the north, on the A484, go through the village of Cynwyl Elfed and at the southern end of the village do NOT take the first turning west on the right signposted to Blaenycoed and Y Gangell, but take the second turning, just past the village toilets, signposted to the Golf Club.
Follow this road for nearly 2 miles until you suddenly come across a crossroads, where you need to turn sharp left signposted to the Golf Club. Keep on this road for over 1 mile, and continue past the Golf Club for 280 yards and at the end of a row of bungalows take the first turning on the left, northwards, it’s marked as a dead end. Follow the road, going left at its sharp bend, until you get to Foel Fawr which is the first house you come to. (NB it is BEFORE a signposted road to Bronwydd, which is 180 yards further on.)
Amenities:
Meals can be obtained by non-members from Carmarthen Golf Club (please see our venue listing for it), 700 yards west of Foel Fawr.
Cynwyl Elfed, 3 miles to the north, has a shop and post office in the centre of the village and also a roadside snack bar at the southern end of the village.
A wide range of amenities is available at Carmarthen, 3 miles to the south.
