Brief Description:
Woodsford Castle was built in 1337 and was converted into a farm house in the 17th century. It is the largest thatched roof building in Dorset. Now owned by the Landmark Trust and is used for holiday lettings. Grade I listed building.

Situated 4.7 miles E of Dorchester. Take the Prince of Wales Road E onto the B3143, continuing onto the B3144. Exit roundabout A352 and turn left at next roundabout. Continue along this road , at T-Junction turn left onto Highgate Lane, turning left at the William Holland Bathroom supply shop (Lewell). Woodsford Castle will be 1.1 miles on the left .
