Warwick Castle is a Grade I listed, medieval castle built by William the Conqueror in 1068, although historical records state that a motte-and-bailey castle existed as early as 900 AD. The grounds and gardens were redesigned by Capability Brown in the 1700's. A Guide Book of the castle's history and the life of its occupants is available from the venue.
