Accessibility
There is street parking directly in front of the Abbey and a grassed parking area alongside. The path to the church entrance is stone paving. There is a small stone step at the entrance doorway. Toilets are available at Thorney Social Centre on Church Street.
Brief Description
The oldest parts of Thorney Abbey date back to 972AD and are the parts that survived the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII. Restorations began in 1638 and various additions have been made to the building over the centuries.
