All areas of Stratford-upon-Avon are easily accessible by car and on foot. There are designated disability parking in the town centre and several car parks available in the town centre. The town centre has a pedestrian area with flat easy access to places of interest.

Shopmobility unit is located in Bridgefoot car park, found in the town centre. Shopmobility is a free service and provides wheelchairs and powered scooters for the duration of your visit.
Shopmobility opening times: Mondays - 10.00 am - 3.00 pm; Tuesday - Saturdays - 9.00 am - 4.30 pm. Closed on Bank Holidays. Advance booking is advisable to ensure chair/scooter hire and to reserve parking.

Disability parking is free for Blue Badge Holders in the District Council car parks. Badge holders can park for free in 'on-street parking bays' according to the traffic sign specification time limits for disability badge holders. Please be aware of any maximum time limits in operation.

Sheep Street : Maximum stay = 3 hours
Henley Street: Maximum stay = 30 minutes, no return within 1 hour (between 8am-11am). Please note this is within the pedestrian area.
Henley Street: (Windsor Street entrance) = No limit
Union Street = Maximum stay - 1 hour or, no return within 2 hours between 8am -6pm
Chapel Lane: = No limit
Bridge Street: = No limit
Waterside: = No limit
Rother Street: = No limit

Brief description:
Stratford-upon-Avon is a medieval market town, renowned for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare. It has many historic buildings of interest associated with Shakespeare which are worth a visit. The pedestrian area of the town centre offers many shops and cafes to visit.
Places to visit include: Shakespeare's Birthplace; Anne Hathaway's Cottage; Mary Arden's House; Halls Croft; Shakespeare's New Place/Nash House; The Royal Shakespeare's Theatre; The Holy Trinity Church; The Old Grammar School (where William Shakespeare attended).
There is also an open-top bus tour of the city available which takes in the town attractions.
