The former chapel, which is now disused, is accessible through a grass area into church yard. Parking in the village is limited. There are no public toilets in the village. Guide dogs are welcome.

Llanmerewig is a parish in the district, on the Oswestry and Newtown railway, which is adjacent to the river Severn and the Montgomery canal. The chapel in the village is now disused.
