Accessibility:

There is parking at the church, by the lych gate. There is a sloping compacted path up to the church porch, where there is a flight of steps, and another step by the entrance door. The nave is level but there are steps up to the screen area and then 2 more steps to the communion rail area by the altar.

Brief Description:

St Matthews Church was originally dedicated to St Maelog. The present building probably originated in the late 13th century, but much of it is 115th century, and there appears to have been little if any Victorian restoration.
