Accessibility:
There are no steps to get into the abbey and once inside the floor is fairly flat. On sunny days the abbey is filled with natural light as it has numerous large stained glass windows throughout the structure.
Brief Description:
A monastery in Abbeytown, Cumbria. It was established in 1150 and disestablished in 1538, in the 15th century it was larger than Carlisle cathedral. After the disestablishment it was still used as a parish church.
