Accessibility:

Disability parking is located right outside the church. Gated entrance way with two wide steps down on pathway to church. Please cover feet on entry if footwear is muddy with the poly bags provided. There is a small raised beam through the doorway of the church, then the internal floor is laid to carpet. No toilets are available at this location.

St Andrew's church is in a small village called Greensted-juxta-Ongar. It is the oldest wooden church in the world and possibly the oldest wooden building in Europe.

Opening Hours:

Open daily Summer: 10am-6pm. Winter: 10am-4pm. Guided tours can be arranged for groups at no charge, however a donation towards the upkeep of the church would be welcomed.
