"Castell Henllys Iron Age Village is located on a spur of land overlooking the valley of a small river.
Visitors gain access to this reconstructed village after buying their tickets in the Visitor Centre, which is located below the village.
As the village is situated on a hill and is steep in places we have two all-terrain mobility scooters available to visitors free of charge (although donations are welcomed). Please phone in advance to book the mobility scooters or if you have any queries regarding the accessibility of the site.
We have a Quiet Session every Sunday morning for members of the public who would prefer a quieter experience. During this time all electrical sounds are turned down in the visitor centre, there are no noisy activities up in the hillfort and there is a member of staff available to answer any questions and to do gentle activities.
A hearing loop is located at the reception desk. An accessible toilet with a panic alarm is located close to the Visitor Centre and disabled toilets are located in the Visitor Centre.
Dogs on leads are welcome on the site but are not permitted inside the café. Dogs are, however, allowed on the veranda and outside seating areas."
