Parking and disability toilet at adjoining Bridlewood Riding Centre. Dogs on leads welcome. Access to Big Pool Wood via a gravel path and gate. All walkways around Big Pool Wood are gravel paths or timbre deck with a metal grate for added grip. Seating and picnic areas available. Observatory sheds all secured with Suffolk latches. Seating and wildlife information materials provided inside observatory sheds. These sheds have only natural lighting and so can get quite dark. They're also relatively small with fixed benches and so may be difficult for mobility scooter users to access due to narrow internal spaces. 

Brief description

Big Pool Wood is a nature reserve, managed by the North Wales Wildlife Trust, located within Bridlewood Riding Centre. The site is protected, and has three wildlife observatory sheds, a nature walk, picnic benches, and hosts a regular volunteering group.

Big Pool Wood is 3 miles west from Prestatyn Train Station, and 2.9 miles west from Prestatyn's main bus station. There are two bus stops 0.6 miles from Big Pool Wood (stop ID: fliatwj/flijgjm). There is limited parking available via Bridlewood Riding Centre.
