Accessibility:

While there’s some parking available at the Dock, you’ll find plenty of space in the 24-hour Arena and Convention Centre (ACC) and Albert Dock multi-storey car park. Albert Dock’s site is fully accessible for all, both inside the quay and the exterior walkways. Guide and hearing dogs are welcome on the Dock site and in venues. Tate Liverpool and the Beatles Story offer wheel chair hire free upon request. Albert Dock has toilet facilities based on The Colonnades, there is an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities. Tate Liverpool, the Beatles Story and Merseyside Maritime Museum also all have accessible toilets. There are a total of 8 accessible car parking bays at Albert Dock (3 located in car park A, near to the estate’s main entrance and 5 in car park D, opposite the Beatles Story & Premier Inn hotel). Ramps are available at the Beatles Story & Albert Dock Visitor Information Centre.

The Albert Dock was not always as we know and see it today: its history dates back over 170 years to 1839. Following a period of dereliction and a complete regeneration, the Dock was officially reopened in 1988.

Albert Dock is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street, Liverpool’s mainline station, through Liverpool ONE. You can also reach us on foot from either the Museum of Liverpool and Cruise Liner terminal, or ACC Liverpool.
